cutest little bookmarks

I was looking thorough pinterest as I usually do (on a daily basis) and this is why I do...
because I come across wonderful finds like this!

...less we forget the oodles of inspiration I get from seeing all the wonderful talent in the world.
It is definitely my 'go to' when I need to be inspired or am having a design block,

huh, huh... back to the topic!
These wonderful and most important, clever bookmarks are just fantastic.
I especially love the heart eyes, they come from this Etsy shop called ribonita
Aren't the heart eyes just fantastic little details, LOVE it!
Lovely Little Deer
Sweet Little Bunny
Happy Little Fox
I'm not a huge reader, but I think I will have to get these.

Not only does it have great pieces, it has great photographs.
So, I thought it must me posted in my Photo Merchandising series.
One of the biggest challenges to Etsy shop owners are their photographs,
so I love showing shops that are doing it right.
Monkey Puzzle Press is definitely doing it right.
Be sure to see their vintage shop too

Create - Felted Soaps

I was watching Martha the other day on DVR, I started recording her because I always seem to miss her shows.  Anyway, the episode I saw was a rerun from February when she had Gary Marshall on, who was promoting Valentine's Day.  The two of them did a how-to segment on making...
(Here is the how-to step by step guide along with a video on her site for you do-it-yourselfers)
Apparently, these soaps are suppose to be great exfoliators so they are pretty to look at, dress up any bathroom and also leave you with beautiful skin.  Sounds good to me.

HOWEVER...
For all you out there that don't have the time or simply would rather buy your handmade felted soap.
I have found a great Etsy shops for you called SoFino
They sell wonderfully creative and unique style felted soaps.

Why I love Acorns

When my nephews were little on one of their yearly visits to the states from Greece, their movie of choice that trip was Ice Age. Phillipos, the youngest was about 2 and he would hand me the DVD and say 'ice... ice' with the sweetest little voice. He would insist on sitting on my lap but would occasionally peek his head around just to make sure I was still there, all the while holding onto my hand. Andreas, who was all of 3 at the time, was obsessed with the acorn. Remember the character Scrat, the saber-toothed squirrel? Scrat was unlucky at his attempt to get ahold of the infamous acorn, which was a hilarious sub-story (bonus) to the movie. I’m pretty sure Andreas was convinced if he had an acorn, it meant he had won something. So anytime he found anything resembling an acorn he would get very excited and carry it everywhere with him. Too funny… Good memories!

Since then because of them I am myself obsessed with acorns.  My boys are no longer, but for me acorns remind me of them at that age and of that trip when they decided to take a walk down the alley together, (another story).

Here’s a collection of acorns in honor of them and then.

little boxes

a box out of scrap paper

I came across this video on Etsy's You Tube page and I have been obsessed with making them ever since. FYI, I have decided that most of my tags that I sell from tucker reece will come with a box, due to the fact that I have soooo much scrap paper and that it doesn't take much paper to make one. I think you too will have lots of fun making them, it seriously takes minutes and very rewarding when completed. But I warn you...
it is addicting!
